Anteneh Kassaye – Managing director

Anteneh Kassaye is the founder and Managing Director of AKASS Engineering Ethiopia since its establishment in 2015.

Anteneh's vision is to build a world class Service providing company in the country and beyond in the filed of Information Communication Technology. Using technology to transform business and industry issues,  he  brought a strong track record of growth  and passion for innovation and collaboration to the company since its inception.

Anteneh created AKASS after serving international organization such as SITA, for several years in Ethiopia and beyond, a company which provides an IT infrastructure and Desktop maintenance services to the Airline community and other International organizations. SITA manages all Airport infrastructure including Desktop service at check-in counters, Baggage reconciliation, Bag-tag Printers, Flight information display system and many more in the airports worldwide including Addis Ababa airport terminal 1 and terminal 2 which were the direct responsibility of Anteneh for service continuity. The company also provided a Desktop services to foreign airlines community. Before resigning from SITA, Anteneh served as a country representative for Ethiopia and a supervisor/manager of  field service engineers in Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi workshops.

The majority of his career was spent in insuring provision of services, where he started as Field service Engineer and held a variety of senior management positions and was responsible for creating a sophisticated second level workshop in the country to meet the high standards of the airline community.  

He holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Addis Ababa University, and have covered several courses in graduate classes in the field of Communication from same institute. He is trained and is awarded various IT Certifications from Cisco, CompTia, GVF and other.

Outside of work, Anteneh enjoys practicing world Taekwondo, swimming, playing musician instruments and computer animation on top of time spent with his wife and family members.
